Gallery Bar AMARCORD in Shinjuku Nichome is proud to hold an exhibition of graphic arts, created by Ashi Kenta who is an art director, a graphic designer, and Kimono designer. The exhibition named "Kyouki Ranbu -Umareotiru Tamashino Ubugoe- (meaning the dance rapture, and the first cry of new born soul)," is from July 1st to the 31st.
The inspiration were the ancient military leader from the northern area of Japan, called Aterui. The works has the undermined story line employing the leader as a motif.
The plot was written by the favored author Sumeragi Kahori. She has published a short novel ANGELICA in February of 2012. Her writing illustrating the dark side of a mind with undermined energy to move forward has established a reputation.
The guest model is "ADAPTER。" Fukusuke。, the guitarist of the band Metronome. He performs in multiple fields; doing solo dressing in Kimono, DJing with techno sounds at various parties.
The photographer is Michael from Marseille, France. He is know for his top-quality photos at many kinds of parties.
"Kyouki Ranbu -Umareotiru Tamashino Ubugoe-" is the aggregation of unique talents of various artists.
Gallery Bar AMARCORD is hosting the opening party using all the floor of the S3 building where the bar is at. The first floor is for exhibition, the second floor hosts a Kinbaku show collaborating with Edge of Darkness, the customized and twisted Kimono clothing label (the show requires reservations ahead). The third floor has the shop of Yukata, and hosts the runway show of the newest Yukata in season.
